This is my 2nd and final rant about this pompous jackass. Anyone watch the 60 minutes interview with this cockroach?
Again to keep the record straight I believe there should be more transparency in our government, but not the way this piece of "dung" with the brains of road-kill goes about it. He really believes, that he has been ordained somehow to decide what information should be shared and what should not!
Well, you septic tank dweller, if you believe so much in transparency why don't you discuss the pending sexual assault case against you? Too much transparency for your pompous butt?
You describe your group as free press activists, I find this a dubious comment at best! You publish indiscriminately and with no regard to who is harmed, you brain dead earth worm! Your tactics are no better than any other terrorist. Every terrorist says they are doing it for the people, that's BS! You are nothing more than a cyber terrorist-hacker (how many counts of hacking were you arrested on in 1994?) with self-esteem issues who is doing it for his 15 minutes.
It takes a pretty self-important egotist to dress as a woman to avoid what he says, is surveillance by US Intelligence agents. Do you really think that you are that important to the US Intelligence community? I think you just wanted to cross-dress. Why don't you discuss why former top members of your organization broke away to start their own site? I believe your leadership, and the direction you were taking the organization became an issue. One person stated that, if we expect transparency from others we should not avoid it ourselves.
So what about it you piece of sidewalk bubblegum? Why should we give you any more attention than the time it takes to scrape you from our shoes? Hey, I hear Australia's park rangers are looking for someone to clean up kangaroo dung.

Rant For 1-29-11
I don't think todays comments are a rant. I think they qualify more as a sad commentary on our culture!
Item #1-Today I was out running errands, when I held the door for a couple of women leaving a restaurant. One of the women looked totally surprised, but had the courtesy to thank me. After walking a few steps the woman turned to me and said "your mama trained you right" (if only she knew!). I smiled, thanked her and went on my way. I then started thinking, what a sad state our culture is in when people notice and are surprised by common courtesy. What has happened? Why can't we slow down to observe common courtesies and give compliments? I believe some of the anger and rudness could be greatly reduced if we just remembered that all people deserve the same respect we do.
Want to make your day a little better? Hold a door for someone, it improved my day :-)
Item #2-Did anyone read the story about the mother in Florida who shot her two teenage children? Apparently, her excuse was that they were mouthy! How about that! I think that this article should be required reading for all of our teenage children. I'll bet we can get a few days peace out of it ;-)

Rant For 1-27-11
I didn't post a rant for yesterday as I was working on the one for today..I have tried to avoid doing political or religious rants because you can never win, the opinions are too diverse.
Well, I've decided to do a political rant. I don't know why, I must be lacking some cerebral proteins. If you are a hardcore supporter of the NRA or ACLU, don't read the comments on political correctness or assault weapons... your head may explode.
As I expected, responses and rebuttals to the State of the Union Address overwhelmed inboxes and facebook accounts alike. I wont even mention the blogs. After reading some of the comments from the right and the left, I've come to the realization (forgive me if I am slow) that not only are our political parties a sad parody of their decades old counterparts, but we citizens need a serious time out! As a former lifelong democrat I am more convinced than ever that my decision to switch to an independent was the right one. I truly believe that the toilet water mis-information that these flat-heads are spewing is not only insulting, but dangerous.
If you are a middle class taxpayer and believe that any of these walking pillars of human waste, on the right or left, are helping you, then you've been drinking chemically enhanced pond water and have become severely brain damaged. We need a "Common Sense" party. One that when they look at an issue can say, "wait that doesn't make sense", and act accordingly. They should all be issued a stupid stamp that can be used on an idiot's forehead at the first sign of brain freeze (to save money this could also be used in our court system to deal with lawsuits.).
As middle class taxpayers all we are to the government is an open wallet and ATM. Like in any "family", we are the bill payers. The government is like our children, they just want money. They don't want to hear what we think, and when we ask questions, they tell us we wouldn't understand, government is too complicated!
Well MEATHEADS, since we are the "bill payers" for your ridiculous programs and imaginary cuts, we want an accounting! If our government (I believe "our" is purely symbolic) is serious about cuts, they would immediately end all vote buying bribes called earmarks and all the wealthy-benefiting tax cuts. Really, if these tax cuts were going to generate jobs they would have done it over the last 4 years...Oh, I'm sorry they did, in China and Mexico!! Everyone should pay their fair share. Entitlements also need to go on hiatus,. We need to stop giving OUR money away.
I am going to mention a few of the top (arguably) issues facing our country, that these tree dwelling baboons keep dragging on. I will try to give what I believe are common sense approaches. These may or may not be realistic, but then I haven't been elected to solve the problems.

- JOBS- How can you have jobs if you don't manufacture anything in this country anymore?
- Tax the hell out of the junk imports we receive
- Do not tax our companies on the manufactured items they export
- Give tax incentives to companies that manufacture here
- Give incentives to companies that build new factories
- HEALTH CARE- This one makes me laugh. We, as middle class taxpayers, fund this either way.
- Give us all the same health plan congress has
- ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION- The first word in the title says it all. ILLEGAL means ILLEGAL. What happens if we American citizens do something illegal? hhmmm..
- Clarify the 14th ammendment- It was designed for the children of slaves not for every belly crawler that gets under the fence
- Stop giving illegals the same rights and benefits as citizens. It strains our resources and insults the legal immigrants that worked hard to become citizens
- TAX CUTS- People are you really buying this one? If you don't think the revenues will be made up somewhere you're in la-la land.
- Get rid of all tax cuts and have EVERYONE pay their FAIR share
- Institute a national sales tax as opposed to an income tax
- Institute a flat tax so everyone pays the same percentage
- ASSAULT WEAPONS- I am not for total gun control. Until you get the guns out of the criminal hands you can't take them from law-abiding citizens. But really, do you faux-outdoorsman really believe a weapon that was soley designed to KILL PEOPLE is necessary in the hands of the general public? As a Viet-Nam vet I know what they can do to the human body first hand.
- Ban assualt weapons
- At least ban high capacity ammo magazines
- BAILOUTS/STIMULUS- This is a classic, true example of greed at it's finest! I wonder where the CEO's of AIG and Bank of America are today (can you say MADOFF)?. These companies have surpassed the sleazy reputations of the 19th century robber barons. I'll bet you that Rockefeller and Carnegie (amoung others) can now rest in their graves. Here is the point, let these BLOODSUCKING THIEVES go under! It's called CAPITALISM! If one company fails another will take it's place. What a concept!
- Stop all bailouts and stimulus- simple huh?
- SOCIAL SECURITY- This one by far heads the list. If all you GREEDY GOVERMENT LEECHES had not stuck you hand in the cookie jar this fund would be fine! Your constant raiding of this fund like it was a cash cow, has put it in the state it is in. Now it is the day of reckonong for you bloodsuckers. You better fix it now, without sucking the american people dry or you will be held accountable.
- Stop using SS to shore up the general fund, this is not your money
- Do not use it as a bank for every social program
- POLITICAL CORRECTNESS- This one item has done more to erode our national identity than anything else. As I've stated before, it probably began with some mealy mouthed whiner who got their feelings hurt every time they received the slightest bit of criticism, constructive or not, or weren't picked for a team. These people need to run home to mommy.

Rant For 1-25-11
Here is one for the "Sore Loser" department.
On Monday a salesman for a car dealership in Chicago was fired. No surprise, salesman are fired all the time. Salespeople in this country are a transient lot, even when successful.
So what makes this so special you ask? Well, he was fired for wearing a Green Bay Packers tie! Yes, you read correctly, a TIE! Not poor sales, or poor customer service, a TIE! Apparently he was wearing the tie in memory of his grandmother who had just recently passed away and was a huge Packers fan.
The bacteria stuffed suit that fired him said he felt that wearing the tie was "inapproriate due to being in direct contrast to an advertising campaign they had spent a lot of money on". WHAT BS!!
We know what this was all about, this petulant, self indulgent knuckle dragging excuse for a "Manager", was simply a "Sore Loser". He was so upset that his beloved Bears lost, he had to make someone pay, and he did! I'll bet it made this penis-less mud-dweller feel more like a man. I hope everyone in the Chicago area sees this story for what it is, and doesn't purchase from this establishment until this walking ad for neutering is gone.
All we football fans have a passion for our teams, in my case the Eagles and Ravens. We also have disdain and hatred for our rivals (Pittsburg and everyone in the NFC East :-), but at the end of the fight we need to represent our teams by showing class and decorum in defeat. We will again pick up the fight next year.
In firing an employee who was wearing the competition's tie, this classless moron overstepped not only the bounds of the employer-employee relationship, but also embarassed his company, his team, his city and their fans.
Hmmm, and they say Philadelphia fans are bad...I wonder if any Pittsburg fans work for me..:-)

Rant For 1-24-11
Here's another one for the politcal correctness faction :-)
Today a colleague and I were discussing cartoons and it dawned on me that I hadn't seen a "Speedy Gonzales" cartoon in a very long time. (sigh..If you don't know who "Speedy" is, your too young..just google him)
I decided to do some research, since I was begining to feel he was a victim..My research proved correct, poor "Speedy" died of the dreaded "political correctness" virus.
The begining of the political correctness virus is vague, although I believe it was spawned by some mealy mouthed whiner who got their feelings hurt everytime they received even the slightest bit of criticism, constructive or not, or weren't picked for a team. They then ran crying home to mommy, who chastised all around her for hurting the feelings of little precious, rather than telling him to stop the incessant whining and suck it up!
But, I digress..What I found was that when the Cartoon Network aquired the rights to "Speedy" they elected to cease airing the venerable cartoon. In an interview with Fox News (what an oxymoron) a Cartoon Network spokesperson commented that "it hasn't been on the air for years because of it's ethnic stereotypes". The prevailing theory is that this refers to "Speedy's" fellow mice , who are shown as slow, lazy and may even appear drunk. "Slowpoke Rodriguez", "Speedy's" cousin is shown as exceptionally slow and lazy, and may also carry a gun.
Wake up "sheeple" (I love this term, used consistently by my friend John)! and stop trying to make everything utopian by attempting to equalize our lives. We all live differently and view things differently! If your feelings get hurt tough crap! Get over it! Life is not fair, or accomodating, it's what you make it!! Stop blaming or trying to fix perceived injustice. Let's fix the real injustices in the world.
If this cartoon was such an issue, why is it still one the most watched cartoons in Latin America? Obviously they don't know they're being stereotyped.
Don't you find it ironic that we can ban a cartoon, but shows like Jersey Shore, Skins and other shows that depict violence, sex and disrespect are revered?
It must be because we didn't ban Barney and the Teletubbies soon enough..

Rant 1-23-11
It's amazing how the little things just grate on you.
Today while opening the blinds and turning off the porch lights I noticed that a car was blocking part of our driveway. With my wife and I both parked in the driveway, it would block her in. You may think that this is no problem, until you look around and see the whole street is empty (as it is most of the time) on both sides.
This pin-headed discourteous moron is so @##$^^ lazy that he can't walk an extra 10 feet to his home, instead he chooses to block our driveway. I believe this is the same insensitive slug that cleared last years massive snowfall from around his car, and put it on my sidewalk! This guy has the brain power of chum! What has happened to our society that we no longer respect the other person's space or property? What the hell gives any of us the right to think we can do whatever we want no matter who it inconveniences? The continuing display of chimp behaviour around me is really frustrating and disappointing.
We all can either pay more attention to the daily common courtesies or be part the selfish pond-scum part of society..Our choice.

Rant For 1-21-11
Surprise! Another snow day without snow.
One of my rants last week was about commercials. Well you are going to love this latest assault on our sensibilities!
Are you ready for the mirrors in public restrooms to inundate you with advertising? Oh yes, my friends, there is no longer a need to bring reading material to the rest room, just look at the mirror for your reading and viewing pleasure. Fortunately, the mirrors in your home are still off limits.
Clear Channel and a company called Mirrus is teaming up to put "interactive billboards"in select airport restrooms across the country, but are starting at Chicago's O'Hare. These ad's will be gender specific depending on the rest room you use...
I don't know about you but I've about had it with these advertising trolls who feel they need to fill every open or private space with a product pitch.
I don't want to hear about hotel deals, feminine hygiene products, masculine hygiene products, condoms, or male enhancement products everytime I turn around. Take your oatmeal brained ideas and stick them in your four point contact!! Stop deciding what I need to hear, and when and where I need to hear it BOZO's
Anybody that believes that deodorant attracts women, that specific shoes make them a superstar, or that the brand of vodka they drink will change their lives, (beyond helping their alcohol craving) needs a mental health day.
Do you pirranah's in the koy pond, really believe we are not intelligent enough to search for what we need when we need it. Hey, your pin stripes need cleaning.

Item #1-There is now a former Swiss banker that is going to release the financial records of personal and corporate account holders that he believes may be guilty of tax evasion, to Wikileaks. Are you kidding me? :o
Is this guy insane? If you think messing with the US government is an sticky proposition, wait until you piss off corporations, and angry rich people who are attempting to hide millions! Wow, talk about having to disappear! These people have no restrictions and enough personal wealth to make your life extremely miserable.
I wonder what motivates this guy? He says he is trying to do what is right, but in this instance why didn't he do something before he made money from them? I think it's all about the 15 minutes. The Swiss government is preparing to arrest him for theft of confidential docments, but not until after he gives the documents to Wikileaks.
Whether or not you agree with this you have to wonder who is in charge of our personal information. It concerns me that in the institutions we trust , there may be people just waiting to cash in by selling or distributing our personal information. Anyone who has experienced identity theft can tell you what a nightmare this can be.
Item #2- Here is a test of your views. I am not going to comment on this, but it should get you thinking. The state of VA just banned the attached plate after receiving complaints. When I read the article and saw the plate I thought there were a number of ways to look at this. After reading the plate, how do you feel? Thought provoking isn't it? Rant For 1-17-11
Football is almost done, what a shame!
Item #1- So does anyone besides me find the "miscellaneous shop charges" on an auto repair bill just a little suspicious? This charge can run different percentages based on the amount of your invoice and there seems to be no rhyme or reason to it. They say it is to cover the "small items" like rags, grease etc. Hmmmm. How big of an adle-brained or lazy business owner do you have to be to not be able to figure out what you cost of doing business is? This is on par with the greasy tire sales people who add all the extra costs on to the price of a tire. ie; valve stems, mounting etc. And to top it off as usual, the GOVERNMENT ALLOWS IT!!. We should just start leaning over tables!
These greedy bottom feeders need to be forced to tell us what we are paying for item by item.
Item #2- So in the same vein as above, what a racket PSL's are! If I get this right, you are paying for the right/privilege to buy season tickets for a seat??? What happens if you elect not to buy the season tickets? Do we have donkey ears? If you want to pay for nothing send the money to me..I will gladly give you nothing for it. Some people believe that they are paying for the seat, and it is theirs, I don't believe this is true. Do you get the revenue when they sell the tickets for another event, I don't think so. They can also revoke the PSL for any minor infraction, look for this as they start wanting to "resell" the original PSL licenses for more than was originally paid. I would gladly buy season tickets if I didn't have to pay for PSL's...I just can't get over the feeling of being taken.

Item #1- So does anyone besides me find the "miscellaneous shop charges" on an auto repair bill just a little suspicious? This charge can run different percentages based on the amount of your invoice and there seems to be no rhyme or reason to it. They say it is to cover the "small items" like rags, grease etc. Hmmmm. How big of an adle-brained or lazy business owner do you have to be to not be able to figure out what you cost of doing business is? This is on par with the greasy tire sales people who add all the extra costs on to the price of a tire. ie; valve stems, mounting etc. And to top it off as usual, the GOVERNMENT ALLOWS IT!!. We should just start leaning over tables!
These greedy bottom feeders need to be forced to tell us what we are paying for item by item.

Rant For 1-15-11
OK, I know it's late.
Why did Maryland waste their time passing an unenforceable cell phone ban? These nitwits might as well as gone for pizza than vote.
Making the ban a secondary offense means they can't stop or cite a driver, unless he has committed a primary offense...I believe that means that even if the police see you on the phone they can't stop you for it..How ridiculous is that!!
Well naturally that means that all the self-absorbed, self-important pin heads believe that this law doesn't apply to them. They believe that their lives and what is going on in it, is more important than your life or mine, and that they don't have to obey the law. These are the same people who continue to believe they don't need to follow the rules like the rest of us.
Two cases in point. The pea-brained teenager who used a cell phone on a plane and got 3 Stooges (if you don't know who the Stooges are, just Google them) smacked in the back of his head by another passenger. What do they do, charge the passenger with assault! Unbelievable! The next case is Arriana Huffington, the publisher of the Huffington Post. She also got into an argument with another passenger when They asked her to turn off her cell phone upon take off.
Blog comments suggest that they use of cell phones isn't a problem, if it was, they wouldn't let you bring the phones on the plane..Hey taffy brains, what they are expecting is for you to follow the rules like a reasonable person, like the rest of us! See spot run morons...
I have a suggestion. If you truly believe you are so important that the world couldn't survive without your self-important butt for a few hours, why don't you have the phone surgically implanted there. This way everyone you believe thinks you're important can be close to where your real brain is and hear you pass gas...

Rant For 1-14-10
I have come to the conclusion that I no longer want to drive..I want my mommy and to go home :(
Today's story of beltway survival begins with a woman who cut me off 3 times, and then waved to me with a silly grin on her face when I went by. I don't know if I am more concerned with allowing myself to be cut off by the same filmentless light bulb brained woman, or being disquieted by the grin.
I decided I needed a rest so I moved to the right lane of traffic. I soon became aware that the right lane is a strange place. People don't really drive there, they coast. They all looked relaxed and some are even smiling! What is wrong, could these be left lane people like myself, who have been lobotomized? What a thought!!
I even tried the middle lane, but we all know that the middle lane is just a transitional lane that is used as a temporary stop when heading to the left or right lane. The criss-cross traffic there just made me dizzy! HELP!
I finally returned to my home in the left lane, but it quickly became clear that a new generation of chimp drivers has invaded my lane..again I was cutoff by a woman, who was apparently in complete ignorance that her car came with a turn signal..I'm done.
With all the car technology we need to develop a Chimp-Imbecile warning system. This system would work like a combination sonar-catscan unit. It would send a beam into the surrounding traffic scanning for signs of human brain activity, the beam would then bounce back and if no human brain activity was found the alarm would sound, thus you could avoid the brain dead chimps that have no license.
The question is, how many of us would pass..I want my mommy!

Rant For 1-13-10
I've really lost my tolerance for the "not my fault" segment of our society. Every bad thing that someone does, no matter how horrendous, is someone else's fault. This attitude permeates or society. These selfish human viruses blame everyone from their parents to society, and even include God for their wrong-doings, and the way they treat others.. They bemoan their poor up bringing, and lack of education, as well as financial status as excuses. Nothing seems to be their fault and we allow it! These people are making conscious choices just as we are.
It's time to wake up and stick our foot up the butt of these societal vermin and make them own up! We need to stop coddling that segment of society that preys on and blames others and denies responsibility. The slugs that tramp the rights and ignore the common courtesies of the people around them, need to be taken to task. The murderers, rapists, pedophiles, as well as other violent and non-violent predators in our society need to dealt with in a way that sends a message of deterrent to the rest. . I don't care about their upbringing, at some point you need to take responsibility for your life and the consequences that go with it.
Wake up you human rodents and take responsibility.

Rant For 1-12-10
Rant's a little late today. I actually had to do work today what a shame :)
It's amazing how sometimes our children and grandchildren think they're pea-brains can match with ours. One of my grandchildren was off from school today due to snow, so he thought he'd have friends over after his mother went to work. Well, little brainiac got snagged! His mother suspecting something was up, and seeing a group of kids not far from her house, decided to circle the block. She spotted the group of kids heading towards her house, she called her child and warned him about having kids over. She even went as far as to leave her younger children home for him to babysit...That would kill any teenage party :) It amazes me how clueless our children think we are. Catching these little numb skulls sometimes is like shooting fish in a barrel. Hey Baby geniuses; do you really think you can do something we didn't try as kids? We know the moves:)

Rant For 1-11-11
Well you can tell that snow is forecast. All the milk, tp, and bread in Baltimore County is gone. How bizzare, people in the north and midwest must laugh at us.
Item #1- I have been trying to understand the ridiculous appeal of "Silly Bandz". Everyone from little kids to adults are wearing these stupid things. Don't we have anything better to spend money on? For the cost of two small packets of these overpriced rubber band clones, you can go to Staples or Office Depot and buy a thousand colored rubber bands to serve the same purpose. But they are fun, my grandaugter says. Yes, for about 30 seconds until these cheap things break, then mom and dad have to buy more DUH! I put his in the same category as the pet rock. The inventors of both of these products prove the statement that there is a sucker born every minute, and are laughing all the way to the bank!
Item #2- What is with this weasel Julian Assange? Who appointed him keeper of the realm? This self rightous SOB thinks he has the right to put american people and our allies in danger in the interest of government transparency? I agree that our government needs to be more forthcoming with information, but that's not this foreign ass's decision to make, that right belongs to the american people. I wonder how secure his future would be if he "leaked" another country's secrets, let's say China, Iran or Russia...Hmmm. This dumb ass needs to be prosecuted for espionage after he is tried for the sex crimes in Sweden. Hey Assange, if your innocent why are you not heading back to Sweden to clear your name? As a side note, the little whiny soldier that is suspected of giving Assange the documents, and is complaining about his treatment in jail, needs to be tried for his traitorous acts. Who cares how he is treated in jail. This is what happens when you violate the oath to protect this country you worm.

Rant For 1-10-11
So many subjects, so little time :)
Item #1- Has anyone besides me lost patience with these insensitive, bubbleheaded interviewers that continue to ask the victims of tragedy "How do you feel"? These imbeciles pretend that they care when we all know that all they care about is the whether or not they beat the competition in the ratings. Hey, you oatmeal brained parasites, let people grieve in private!
Item #2- How many commercials are enough?? I don't know about you, but I've had my fill with the quantity and duration of commercials. How many times can you watch a promo for a new or returning show as well as a repeating product ad before you puke? If you've noticed, the commercials increase in frequency and duration as the end of the show approaches. I remember when cable was in it's infancy (No, not quite dinosaur times) and the big selling point was "no commercial interruptions". Now we pay for them to innundate us with this crap. Hey, advertising pirranahs, stop trying to indoctrinate me to products and services I don't need, it just pisses me off and makes me put in a DVD!

Today's Rant
My comments this morning won't be as much a rant as a sad commentary. It's difficult to rant about little things when events such as what has happened in Tuscon occur.
At what point did our country and society lose it's moral compass. It seems to be completely non-existant at this point! I am sure by now we have all heard of the shootings in Tucson Az and the shooting overnight in downtown Baltimore. (unless you live in a cave!)
Item #1-In Tucson , a congresswoman holding informal meetings with constituents was gunned down. 6 others were killed, including a 9 yr old girl. It appears at least 6 others were also wounded. What fosters this type of lunacy? I believe when you have politcal candidates, as in the last election, stepping up rhetoric to take up arms, and using crosshairs on the pictures of political opponents, you provide the fuel for the squirrles to come out of the trees. While spirited political debate is encouraged and welcomed as part of our political process, once the elections are completed we ALL need to work together to move the country forward. We should all look in our hearts and ask what we can do to help. We need to stop blaming people, companies and government agency's for all that goes wrong in our lives.
Please pray for the victims.
Item #2- In downtown Baltimore a police officer responding to the report of a fight was killed as well as a civilian. A second officer was wounded. Again, when is the lunacy going to stop? Does anyone remember when a fight was just a fight and you were friends afterwards?
We live in a society where life seems to be cheap and guns are plentiful. People feel that any perception of being wronged, or disrespected, justifies an armed response. If you doubt this just look at the murder rate involving teens. Parents don't help when they foster the "entitled" attitude most kids have.
The only way this will change is by changing the attitude of future generations. We have created a culture where any form of criticism is cause for retaliation. We've taken the stance that failure hurts a childs "self-esteem". BULL; criticism and failure is part of life, and not failng a child with poor grades, or not giving trophys to to a losing team, denies them the opportunity to learn from these events. We need to teach our children that life is not always fair and that everything that goes wrong in their lives is not the fault of some other person, company, or government agency. (sense a recurring theme?) Again, parents need to step up and stop depending on teachers, coaches, clergy, or neighbors to do their job!
Pray for the victims.

Today's Rant
So lets get to it..
Item #1- So how entitled have we oversensitive parents let our children become? Hell, we teach them they don't even need to follow the rules! In Indiana a kid was tossed from the basketball team for not abiding by the haircut policy outlined in the rules code..His overindulgent parents are suing for discrimination! Unbelievable!!! Whether you agree with the rule or not is immaterial, they knew the rule when they registered the child, and he was warned multiple times. Hey intellectually impaired parents, stop teaching your spoiled offspring that the rules don't apply to them. What do you think, when they get in the real world that employers are going to put up with that crap? Start putting the effort in to being a parent, not a buddy. They'll get it when the get older.
Item #2- Tomatoes. Yes tomatoes. I don't know about you, but I eat lunch out constantly when I am working. I have select deli's and restaurants that I frequent, and I expect a acceptable level of food quality. So what cave dwelling society or culture do you come from that you don't know what a RIPE TOMATO looks like? Hint: If it's yellow it's not ripe! At least not in my world. Three times this week I have received sandwiches on which the tomatoes have crunched like apples. It makes me wonder what other quality issues are being ignored. Can you say salmonella? This ranks up there with needing to know a second language when you go to 7-11 for a cup of coffee.
Item #3 My favorite. How incompetent do your supervisors think you are when, as a bus driver they don't think you can handle a coating of snow. Not accumulation, a coating. Schools around Baltimore were delayed for 2 hours on Friday the 7th for no good reason. For those that say it's a safety issue, are your huggies wet? Stop complaing and making excuses, it's a training issue. Teach your drivers how to drive responsibly with a coating of snow. A coating is no reason to close schools! How much money do you think working parents lose in those couple of hours? Here's a thought, if you are going to close the schools come to the house and pick the kids up!

Rant For 1-07-11
Let's start with the "political correctness" morons who want to "edit" Huckleberry Finn because some of the passages may offened someone. Please GET OVER IT! Huckleberry Finn is a part of our history and literary culture. It's Americana. Why don't you worry about the sexual violence, murder and mutilation that happens on TV and video games before you start editing books? Do you have enough editors to go through all the available books in this country. Shades of "1984"! for those of you scratching your head it's a book and fortunately you can still read it :)
I grew up in a multi-cultured neighborhood, where the way we talked to each other, and the names we called each other would bring gasps of horror to people today. Guess what most of us are still friends!
